Adam Sioui

Adam grew up in Trenton, Ontario Canada where he swam competitively for the Trenton Dolphins from the age of nine. In college he was a Gator at the University of Florida where he won two NCAA titles and was a 19-time All-American. In 2002 he was named the SEC Male Swimmer-of-the-Year after racing to the NCAA title in the 200 Freestyle as a freshman. In 2008 he competed for Canada at the Beijing Olympics where he placed 5th as a member of the 4X200 freestyle relay, and also competed in the 100 and 200 Butterfly. In March, 2009 Adam received Canada's prestigious National Aboriginal Sports Award, as his country's top native sportsman. Back home in Ontario, he has spoken at various fundraisers and worked with volunteer groups visiting hospitalized children and school children, emphasizing the importance of exercise in their lives. Outside of the pool, Adam enjoys reading, writing, watching movies, playing beach volleyball and skydiving.
